Rebekah O'Shea, Principal
Rebekah has over 30 years of experience in varied research and professional roles spanning multi-national corporations, hospital, university and research institute environments; encompassing the domains of teaching, policy development, risk assessment, and compliance. As Senior Research Integrity Officer at the University of Adelaide for 7 years, Rebekah was responsible for the University’s implementation and oversight of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (‘the Code’) and oversaw a network of 25 Research Integrity Advisers. Her key focus was on preventing irresponsible research conduct through the development and provision of policy, training, specialist advice and awareness-raising activities; receiving and managing complaints of research misconduct; and supporting misconduct investigations.
Rebekah was also co-reviewer of the Epigeum ® Research Integrity complete and abridged online courses to align with the 2018 Code.
Rebekah has completed a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Adelaide and holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Health, and a Certificate IV in Project Management. Directly relevant to research integrity, she has completed training programs through the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (South Australia).
