- Review your internal policies against the requirements of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2018) (‘the Code’).
- Audit your performance against the requirements of the Code and/or internal policies.
- Advise and make recommendations as to the responsibilities outlined in the Code as applicable to your institution or its researchers.
- Draft policy, procedure, and guidelines documents in accordance with your institution’s style.
- Provide training, guidance and advice to research services and other support staff in relation to expectations outlined in the Code.
- Develop and deliver training packages to suit specific responsibilities under the Code.
- Monitor progress of training relating to responsibilities under the Code (excepting specific research discipline knowledge).
- Help you identify and assess your research-related risks and develop a proposal to submit to management.
- Conduct reviews of applications made under ethical approval processes.
- Provide research integrity investigation support.
Research Integrity Investigations
We can also support or manage investigations into complaints about research conduct made under the purview of the Code, and in accordance with your research misconduct policy and procedures. Specifically, we are able to:
- Undertake Preliminary Assessments.
- Establish Investigation Panels and provide secretariat support for formal research misconduct Investigations.
- Facilitate internal and external reporting procedures.
